Honestly, I don't think anyone truly knows Em's backstory...
So, I'm going to tell everyone and let you guys decide if she's a sue or not.

A very long time ago, Irkens were trying to take over earth. However, in seeing the earth already in a war between countries, and the planet was already weak, the current Tallest decided it wasn't a fair win if they fought them in this state. However, he decided to take a few humans to use them as experiments.
One of the Elites in the mission, chose a girl he caught trying to expose them. Her name, was Anna. Since she was so young, she was used for more sensitive testing such as, how do they react to this, or that.
However, overtime, the Elite named Black, began to pity her. He requested to use her as a pet to test how humans react to slavery. However, he never used her for that reason. Instead, he fell in love with her. As time went on, he became taller, and taller, soon taking over the Tallest position.
This caused him to hide his love for Anna to save his position as a Tallest. He made the excuse that she was a more 'mature' slave for him.
Except, that was disproved quickly when she became pregnant. Irkens began to question his loyalty, but nothing was ever done. He continued to prove to everyone that she was just a slave, resorting to violence.
But behind doors, he'd take care of her and apologize over and over.
Over the years, Anna had two children. However, she became sick after the second labor, causing her to die soon after.
The two children she had, were named Lawson and Emiley.
Black, being alone and having controversies still stirring around, he entrusted his children to the care of a newly exiled Irken, watching them leave forever, to earth.
As time went on, Lawson and Emiley grew up in a happy life. However, Lawson soon left home when he fell in love with a girl named, Bella. Emiley then grew up alone, soon forgetting she even had a brother.
She soon fell in love with a paranormal enthusiast, named Dib. However, after years of being bullied, he was driven almost to madness. He would yell at her constantly and would pick fights with her over tiny things, not trusting her. However, they soon fell into a happy time. He proposed to her, and they were months away from marriage, when Emiley let out the news, that she was pregnant.
With the marriage canceled to focus on the baby, things seemed to be alright. Emiley thought she would have a happy life with a small family.
However, as hormones raged, the two back peddled to where they had begun. This caused Emiley to almost become insane was well.
This awoke a hidden disease in her bloodline, that she had gotten from her father. It caused her eyes to blacken and he would say things she didn't mean.
She left Dib after this began, almost afraid she would hurt him.
Months later, she had her son, Kohlby.
To try and give him a good life, Emiley began going back to school. Here, she met Johnny. They soon began to become friends. He would constantly come over Emiley's house and visit Kohlby and her. Kohlby began to see him as a father figure. Emiley also began to see him more than a friend.
This caused her to start a relationship with him. However, as time went on Johnny began to show who he truly was. A murderer.
He's hurt and torture her. It would get to the point where he'd cut her with a knife and watch her bleed and then leave her there.
However, he'd never do anything in front of Kohlby. In fact, he never hurt him.
Emiley stayed with him and put up with it for Kohlby, who loved Johnny. But suddenly, the man disappeared and never came back. No one ever knew what happened to him.
Years later, she was sitting out on her porch, crying. She often did this when her son was sleeping, so he couldn't hear her. A man walking by found her and talked to her, calming her down. Seeing how weak she was in her emotional state, he offered to stay and help her a bit. This man, was named Dwicky.
A few months later, after a lot of doubts and long trials of trust, they began a relationship.
Now, they are living together, happy.
Kohlby is finally learning what an actual relationship should be like. He's also finding out what a true father is.
Emiley and Dwicky are having another child soon.
And in cheesy terms, they are living, happily ever after~
